Come make boring products well
Sixty-one people in Portland, Chicago and at home. We make cleaners, so most of the job is chemistry, logistics and answering customers honestly.

Small team, unglamorous problems
Nobody here has a job title with the word “visionary” in it. The work is reformulating a degreaser so it passes without a solvent, or finding a pouch supplier who’ll take them back. If that sounds satisfying rather than tedious, we’ll get along.
We hire slowly and we say no clearly. Every candidate hears back from a person.

Hiring process
Four conversations, three weeks
-
01
Application
A form and a CV. No cover letter unless you want to write one.
-
02
Half-hour call
With the hiring manager, not a recruiter reading a script.
-
03
Paid exercise
A real problem from our backlog. Three hours, compensated.
-
04
Team day
Meet the people you’d work beside. Ask us anything.
We pay for any take-home exercise and cap it at three hours. Salary ranges are on every posting because withholding them wastes everyone’s time.
