The rules we hold ourselves to, written plainly enough that you can hold us to them too. If we break one, it goes in the annual report.

Non-negotiables

Seven rules, no asterisks

  1. 01

    Disclose 100% of ingredients

    Every component down to 0.01%, including fragrance constituents, on the label and online. No “and other ingredients”, no trade-secret exemption.

  2. 02

    Beat the category leader in a blind panel

    Independent lab, standardised soil, side by side. If our formula loses, it doesn’t ship — no matter how good the sustainability story is.

  3. 03

    Never test on animals, anywhere

    Us and every supplier, contractually, with audit rights. We forgo markets that legally require it.

  4. 04

    Design for refill first

    No product launches without a refill format available on the same day at a lower price per use.

  5. 05

    Take back what we can’t make recyclable

    If your kerbside can’t process it, a prepaid envelope comes in the box and it’s our problem, not yours.

  6. 06

    Publish salary bands and pay a living wage

    On every job posting, and across our contract manufacturing partners — verified annually, not asserted.

  7. 07

    Report the bad numbers too

    Missed targets, failed audits and upheld complaints appear in the annual report with the same prominence as the wins.

Who checks our homework

Self-certification isn’t certification. Each of these is a third party with the power to fail us.

Testing

How we prove a product works

Every formula runs a standardised soil-removal panel against the category leader, in a lab we don’t own. If we don’t beat or match it, we don’t launch it. Cleaning performance is not something you should have to take on faith from a brand that sells you the cleaner.

We never test on animals, and neither do our suppliers — contractually, with audit rights. Where a market legally requires animal testing, we don’t sell there.
