What we collect

When you order: your name, delivery address, email, and the last four digits of your card. The card itself never touches our servers — our payment processor handles it and gives us a token.

When you browse: page views and a session identifier, so we can tell whether the site is broken. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party trackers on buddyx.com.

Why we keep it

To fulfil orders, handle returns, and meet the seven-year record-keeping requirements that apply to consumer chemical sales. If you subscribe, we also keep your delivery rhythm and skip history.

Who sees it

Our fulfilment partner (address and name only), our payment processor, and our email provider. That is the whole list, and it is published in full because a vague "trusted partners" line tells you nothing.

We have never sold personal information and we will not. If that ever changes, this notice changes first, and we email you.

How long we keep it

Account and order records for seven years, as required. Browsing analytics for 90 days, then aggregated. Email preferences until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days to be sure the change stuck.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We do not require you to prove residency in a particular state to exercise a right — that felt like a loophole, so we closed it.

Cookies

One session cookie to keep your basket, one to remember whether you dismissed the banner. No advertising cookies, which is why you have not seen a consent wall on this site.

Using this site

You may browse, order, and share our content for personal or editorial use. Please do not scrape the site, resell our product photography, or use our name to imply we endorse something we have not.

Our logos, product photography and copy are ours. Press use is welcome under the terms on the press page.

Orders and pricing

An order is accepted when we email your shipping confirmation, not at checkout. If we get a price obviously wrong — a $6 spray listed at 60 cents — we will cancel and refund rather than honour it, and we will tell you why.

Product use

Our products are household cleaners. Use them as directed on the label, keep concentrates away from children, and do not mix them with other chemicals. Safety data sheets for every formula are on this site.

We are responsible for our product working as described. We are not responsible for damage caused by using it on a surface the label tells you to avoid.

Returns and refunds

Sixty days, whether or not the bottle is open, as set out on the shipping and returns page. That policy is part of these terms.

Subscriptions

You can skip, delay or cancel any time before the shipping confirmation for that cycle. No cancellation fee, no phone call, no retention flow designed to wear you down.

Disputes and governing law

Oregon law applies. We do not require binding arbitration and we do not ask you to waive class-action rights — if we have wronged you, you should be able to sue us like anyone else.

Our target

WCAG 2.2 Level AA across buddyx.com, plus AAA contrast on body text wherever the brand palette allows it. We test with keyboard only, VoiceOver, NVDA and 400% zoom before every release.

Where we currently stand

Audited in April 2026 by an external accessibility consultancy with disabled testers on the panel. We passed AA on 46 of 49 criteria.

Physical and printed materials

Label type is 9pt minimum with a 4.5:1 contrast floor. Every product carries a QR code linking to a screen-reader-friendly page with full directions and ingredients, because embossed text on a curved bottle is not accessible to most people who need it.

Tell us what is broken

Email access@buddyx.com or call 1-800-555-0163. We aim to reply in two business days and will tell you a target fix date rather than "we are looking into it".

If something on this site blocks you from ordering, we will take the order over the phone or email and apply the same online pricing.

The short answer

BuddyX does not sell personal information, and does not share it for targeted advertising. There is no advertising pixel on this site, no data broker relationship, and no affiliate tracking.

Opting out anyway

Some privacy laws give you the right to opt out even where no sale occurs, and honouring that on request is simpler than arguing about whether it applies. Use the form below and we will flag your record permanently.

We also honour Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser automatically, with no form needed.

Authorised agents

An agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission. Send it to privacy@buddyx.com; we will verify with you directly before acting.

If we ever change this

Selling data would require a change to this page, a change to the privacy notice, and an email to every customer at least 30 days ahead. We have no plans to, and we have said so in writing here so you can hold us to it.
